Unlocking 3G 30.02 BB

    Aparently, somehow it is possible, there is a guy in town who claims he can do it, seen an iPhone with the new baseband that accepted foreign simcards, any ideas as to how its done??

    want more specifics?
    originally it was a Rogers LOCKED iPhone, i know because up here thats all we can get
    but now it is unlocked and can take any SIM card, have tried does work, and the BB is at 30.02, so any ideas? just pitch em...

    You mean bootloader? Only the first iPhones came with it- bootloader 5.8

    there is one guy in Vietnam that takes apart the baseband chip from the phone, solders it to his computer with a few wires and reprograms it. then he solders it back on to your phone. i remember hearing about him in Google.
