I want to get an unlocked iPhone 3G with OS 3.0 to use with my T-mobile network. Now, when I obtain this particular iPhone with the unlock, what do I need to do in order to get T-mobile working on it?

And also, if my iPhone ever bricks, can I restore it back to normal settings (much like restoring an iPod touch if it bricks after jailbreaking it)? If so, will the unlock be gone, or do I have to unlock it again? How do I unlock it again?

(I will be recieving the iPhone already unlocked, so I dont know how to unlock it...)

    Easy!
Add "http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com/" to Cydia as a repo, and install UltraSn0w on your phone. Then insert your T-Mobile SIM card.

don't forget to turn 3G off in Settings > General > Network. T-Mobile's 3G network doesn't support the iPhone, so make sure 3G is switched off.

If you ever mess it up and have to restore it, just follow the guide in this post to jailbreak and unlock it, and activate if needed.
