Ok, there's a few things I like about my Jailbroken Ipod touch, but for the most part I don't use the JB functions at all.

So I was thinking of going back to being unjailbroken. Since there's a new firmware 3.1.3 out, will it be as simple as upgrading the firmware since it currently doesn't support the jailbreaking I did? Just don't want to lose game saves etc. or ruin my iPod touch for that matter.

Oh, and will I regain the space from the jailbreak?

While upgrading will rid you of your jailbreak, I recommend a restore, to fully purge your device of any remnants.

Simply click Restore in iTunes, and the proper firmware will be downloaded it can't be found automatically.

If you unjailbreak you will basically do a full restore and it will delete the save games. Unless your game has an upload feature which lets you save the data on their serves there is no way to restore it on a unjailbroken device.

usually if you just update, many things from the jailbreak stay on the ipod, but you cant use them, so a restore is recommended.
