So as of oct.5 2009, i am a proud owner of the ipod touch. So i decided to try and jailbreak it. (i have jailbroken a couple ipods before, no problems.) so i do not remember what firmware came with my ipod, and i restored it because i failed at a jailbreak. So i do not now what Gen of ipod i have whether its 2g or 3g, all i know is that i cannot downgrade to 3.0 as i am currently at 3.1.1 i tryed jailbreaking it with the new blackra1n which failed. so now im updating to 3.1.2 to see if that will work. please help me out, im so stressed because in Canada you cant use giftcards to purchase apps, and i dont wanna type in my creditcard info, so the only way to get apps is to jailbreak.

p.s the begining of my part no. is : MC

Put it in DFU mode or Recovey mode and then Shift+Restore to whatever firmware you want.

    cheapskate alert.
Hiding behind the "I don't want to enter my credit card info" excuse, the next time I head out to the local walmart, I won't feel like using my credit card.. I'll just take what I need and stuff it in my pocket.
