If I jailbreak my iPod then sync it to iTunes, it will do a backup. If however, I want to unjailbreak it and I restore my iPod, and then I use the backup I just made(when I was jailbroken), will it chave traces of jailbreaking?

only if you changed your carrier or added battery percentage

It will leave the carrier and the percentage?
Is there a way of avoiding that and keeping the backup?

It will still have jailbreak data on it.

I would recommend removing all your packages, returning any app icon/plist changes to their original values, and returning the state of your carrier/battery percentage stuff. Oh wait... Do that in reverse order starting with the carrier thing.

But yeah, that should do it. By the way, out of curiosity, might I ask how you are going to go about unjailbreaking without a restore?

You should never restore from a jailbroken backup, it can mess things up.

He knows. He's talking about making an unjailbroken backup to avoid restoring from a jailbroken one. >.>
