As part of the continued effort to improve the site, I've unified the design of the header in the forums and the front page system. This should provide a more pleasant browsing experience for our users. Please let me know if you come across any bugs

    Logo is massive.

I'm not sure if this is intentional, but there is some padding between the logo and the end of the window.

I'm also really confused about the new advertisements on the top of the page. They tend to show up rather sporadically? I thought they only showed up on the main page, but they're also popping up irregularly on threads and sub forums.

Edit: Ah! These new flash ads! Kill them with fire!

Not happy at all with the ads on the top. They draw attention away from the logo, rest of site.
I do like the info box being back though.

Those ads were always there, except they were next to the logo instead of being above it. This new design is better because the ad container simply retracts to a few pixels tall if there is no ad available to serve.

Is there a way to set the default anchor so that the ads are hidden? Like the search feature on the iPod, you scroll up if you want to see it, otherwise it's as if it's not there.

No, that defeats the purpose of having ads.
