Underclocking possible?

    please move this if it is off topic here, but is it possible, with a jailbroken 64gb ipt 3g to underclock the CPU? I want a better battery life, so i figured there *may* be some utilities like the PSP has (with custom firmware), where there is an in-OS clock rate utility. thanks for any responses.

    No underclocking would give better battery life but would limit your ability to play games. I wouldnt recommend it. Look at this to save battery life

    the first gen users can still run apps, albeit slower. If I was away from a power source, i would take slower apps over no apps.
