I'll probably sound dumb but I've heard a couple of versions and I'm not sure what to do for my JB (with Blackra1n of course)

Do I just run blackra1n while my touch is plugged? Or do I need to run it "as administrator" (what's that btw?)

    iTune's closed right?

    Thanks

    Run it as admin,
and no your iPod doesn't have to be plugged to run blackra1n, but you won't jailbreak that way.....

Yes, you plug your iPod into your pc and run blackra1n (hence the tethered statements you've probably read about).

Are you using Vista or W7? If so then Run As Admin just means that you have User Authorized Control (UAC) turned on, and you right click the program and change the settings so that it knows you are allowing it to run. Usually used in conjunction with program combatability (Windows XP SP2). I did those on mine and had no problems.

iTunes closed or open should not matter. I ran mine open just for the fun of it.

I have XP familial (but only 1 "account")

What do you mean by run as administrator?

note: haha I wasn't asking if it needed to be plugged, but yeah as I wrote it sounds like if I was asking that ^^
