    Can somebody please help me,
Whenever I try to install the new update it hangs at configuring installation, then I tried the combo update and I says unable to mount with error -4960.

I have looked everywhere, seems to me Mac has poor support compared to windows!

    Did you repair permissions first?

Are you on a genuine Mac, or a Hackintosh?

Also, have you tried deleting the update Software Update downloaded from your library and re-downloading it?

I'm on a early 2008 model Macbook Pro 4,1 and yes I have cleared the updates folder and re-downloaded.

I actually downgraded myself from 10.5.6 back to 10.5.5. My boot up times on my BlackBook were 5-10 seconds longer, and you know the battery indicator on the statusbar, where you have options saying better battery life, normal etc... Apple removed that, and to change that option you have to go into system prefs etc...

Wow, Acually I don't feel that bad about not being able to update. I was also browsing apple's forums and I hear there re many problem with the update.

Looks like Windows has something on Mac OS. It's only a matter of time when they get a commerical out.

I restored from a time machine backup, just before I updated. Took me 3 hours to restore everything :|
