iOS 4.0 "Unable to Recognize IPSW"

    I'm getting this error when I try to jailbreak my ipod touch 2ng gen to 4.0. How do I bypass this error?

    make sure you are pointing it to the 4.0 gm fw

    I'm not sure what you mean, if you want to jailbreak iOS 4 final, you must point redsn0w to iOS 4 GM ipsw, it still jailbreaks the final FW.

    Getting the same problem mate, and I'm confident the firmware I've selected is the GM one :/

    I may not try this if i were you, my jailbreak has gone smoothly twice but others are reporting problems such as disappearing Appstore icons and i have noticed that the homebutton option in settings is gone.
