Ok I have a wireless d-link router at home. I have it turned on, it works fine, although I had to change the DNS to an open DNS (208.67.222.222). There is a connection next door to me, it works fine too. It's just hosted as "Family Network".

But anytime I go in town or something, there will be a lot of open connections, no password locks or anything like that. So I click it and it says "Unable to join the "---" network". I click the blue arrow, and the DHCP shows nothing, no IP Address, Subnet Mask... etc... I changed the DNS of it to 208.67.222.222 but nothing happened. The HTTP Proxy is set to auto. It just will not join. As of right now, my Ipod touch is NOT jailbroken as I restored it. It's V 1.1.4 and I'm not sure what all this Mac Address stuff is... my home wifi is set up through Windows XP...

As always, any help is great, and I give the reps!
