Hey, I'm want to un-jb my touch tomorrow. I'm guessing that I'll just have to restore from itunes, right?

What should I expect; will all my 'official' apps and settings persist? In other words, will I be able to restore from my backup?

Also, does anyone have any advice on how I can remove *all* traces of the JB that may still persist?

One more question: is there a way to save and restore my home screen icon's position? I *hate* re-arranging them... :-(

    Thanks!

if you backup the stuff on it the apps might be in the same position, but to take the JB off you have to restore via itunes

Do a DFU restore. It's better.

When you click "Restore" in iTunes, do you Shift Click it?

I want to do this, does it get it back to completely original state?

You have to DFU mode your ipod touch, then shift-click restore to the firmware you want.

Then set it up as a new ipod. Or backup from a backup before you were jailbroken.

Are you saying that I have to do shift+click to restore, after DFU? 'Cause I think I overwrote the original FW file with some redSn0w stuff...

"Or backup from a backup before you were jailbroken. "

So I can't use my current backup???? :-(

    Thanks.

Just go to iTunes and click restore, set up as a new iPod and restore from back-up....thats it.
