A significant number of users are reporting that push notifications do not work on hacktivated iPhones using the Dev-Team's new Ultrasn0w baseband unlock. The Dev-Team are aware and are looking into it.

Any developments are likely to be flagged on the Dev-Team's blog or via their @iphone_dev Twitter account.

BigBoss has a few fix ideas on his site here - the most successful seems to be activating push notifications with a legitimate sim prior to the redsn0w jailbreak and ultrasn0w baseband hack to operate an unofficial sim.

Hi i wanted to post this because i have a factory unlocked iphone 3g and push notifications are not working for me, so this problem is not only affecting hacktivated iphones but also officialy activated iphones, so this means that the problem has nothing to do with ultrasn0w (as im factory unlocked by apple i didnt use it) but i do have jailbroken my iphone with redsn0w so the problem might have something to do with redsn0w nor ultrasn0w!!!!

I think he's saying that apple should help hackers because we have helped sales by promoting their products

I Jailbroke my 2nd gen touch with Redsnow and push notifications don't seem to work properly could something like this be the reason or are they completely unrelated?
