I reinstalled iOS 4.2.1 on my iPhone 3G and wanted to unlock it using Ultrasn0w. When all was done (I even installed iPad Baseband), when I get into cydia, and try to install Ultrasn0w, it says Cannot Comply and at the bottom: Depends iOS Firmware >=3.0
I have iOS 4.2.1 so what is the problem? Please help!

Was it a custom firmware? Did you modify SystemVersion.plist? I'd restore using iTunes and try again.

It was a fresh restart. But I reinstalled the OS and now my phone won't turn on. I goes to recovery mode, and iTunes says it was an error. I try with TinyUmbrella to kick it out, still didn't work. I don't know what to do...

Oh, it's because of the iPad baseband. Use redsn0w 0.9.15b3 to create a custom IPSW (Extras > Custom IPSW, select the 4.2.1 IPSW) and restore to it from pwned DFU mode (Extras > Pwned DFU).

The Custom IPSW worked. When I tried to Pwned DFU, it says USB Communication Problem.
