Ok, so. I'm not a noob at jailbreaking the 2g. I jailbroke it when it was manual, and tethered. And, I recently jailbroke my iPod with the program "RedTool".
Now, I followed to instructions, jailbroke it. And I was happy for a while.
But, whenever I started my iPod, it would run a lot of scripts, which, I kind of assumed was normal. And, recently, my iPod got the "Safe Mode" error, so I decided to de-jailbreak it. And this really hasn't worked out. When I try to go to the default firmware, my iPod gets the apple on it, then freaks out, runs a bunch of scripts, then runs the same two scripts, repeatedly, non stop.
I'm wondering what to do. I'm hoping it's not bricked...

Go back and use Redsn0w beta 3 or go into DFU mode and restore.

    Search both of those.

What do you mean by "scripts"? Are they on the ipods screen?

Just curious, how exactly do you know these "scripts" are running? Verbose Boot? If that's the case it sounds like you're not un-jailbroken. :/

Well, I'm just calling them scripts. It basically looks like the Windows Command Prompt, on my iPod. I fixed it, though. I tried the basic DFU mode thing, which didn't work. Then, I applied the redsnow exploit to my iPod, while it was in DFU mode, and it restored.

I know that now, but he didn't fully explain where or when he was seeing the scripts
