i tried redsn0w and it worked but then i accidently clicked restore old settings back to iPod then it just became black screen and wouldnt turn on.
now i want to restore it back to it's factory settings but when i put it in DFU mode and plug it to iTunes then i click restore it gives me this message.

Software for this iPod is currently not available. Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes and try again.

so i went and downlaoded the new iTunes 8 and then it gave me the same message.
    What do i do?

AHHHHHHHHH. IM SO f***ING TIRED OF SEEING THIS sh*t. YOU CAN
    NOT
    BRICK
    YOUR
    IPOD.
ESPECIALLY WITH REDSN0W. YOU WOULD HAVE TO BE INTENTIONALLY TRYING TO GO OUT OF YOUR WAY TO BRICK IT. Post after if you agreee.

Download a firmwre (any) and then restore the ipod and then when it runs check for updates and then try to jailbreak it again. Same thing happened to me and i did this and did the jailbreak again and i'm happy with it
