Ubuntu 7.1 and ipod

    Does the ipod and itunes work with ubuntu. i am thinking of switching over from vista, maby just dual booting it. Anyone have any experience?

    sorry but it doesnt work. it thinks its a camera.

    I'm the master and i answer yes.

    There a program that comes with ubuntu and you can sync your iPod thru it. It is almost the same thing as iTune. You can find it in your menu or it will open when you will plug your iPod. It works with all ipods. The only thing is that you can't restore it to factory setting. At worst, use dual boot. Good luck.

    yes i belive its called songbird.....its made for linux, but they have versions for windows and mac, i suggest you try it out to see what if its what you are looking for...
