Ubuntu 10.04 supports iPhone and iPod Touch out-of-the-box

    Looks to be very good news for some of those rare users of this forum who dual boot with Windows, just for their iPod support.

    Err. Read/Play support. No write, as in, you can't add songs that will be recognized in the Music player.

    They are getting it to play on their iPods......

    It wouldn't be news if they couldn't, because there has been read/play support for a long time IRC. I used to do it a year ago when I actually owned an iPod on Ubuntu 8.10/9.04.

    wow i first read the thread title and i thought someone got ubuntu to run on the ipod touch ROFL

    anyway i might use ubuntu, but can the colors/base images be changed easily? example, like a DLL file equiv to windows that contains the images or something?

    Probably a bit more difficult than that, but still quite easy.

    Meh, it's still linux. Not sold on it yet. No reason to use it over Windows or OS X
