    Hi,
I'm trying to permanently (but fixably) disable the phone application on 3.0. This means I do not even have uictl at my disposal! The MemTool app is able to kill the program, but it starts right back up. I figure something must be restarting it--can anybody identify what that is, and how to stop it? (There must be a plist someplace; maybe near the start-up daemons plist, which I also can't locate?)

If you stop it running, then you won't be able to get service, right?

Well I guess you could put the phone into airplane mode and that might let you stop it's process.

That would disable WiFi and I'm assuming he wants to keep that working. My only thought is to just pull out the SIM card but he might be trying to do something else.

Just out of curiosity; why are you trying to disable the phone application?

There is a launchdaemon somewhere that keeps it alive. You can change the keepalive value to false and you'll be just fine.
