Well I have a Third Generation Jailbroken Ipod Touch and I have to quick questions.
First, after installing an application depending on what it is is it normal for Cydia to boot me back out to the home screen?

And second of all is there a way to SSH into my Ipod Touch and save my apps and games to my desktop so after restoring if anything foes wrong I can just re install them?

    Sincerely,
    Super

    1. Depending on what it is, it happens to me sometimes.
    2. Just backup through iTunes.
Or if you wanna SSH, then use it. I don't know what you mean by a way, besides through SSH.

I think Cydia does that when a new icon needs to be placed on the home screen.
And how do I back apps up through itunes?
Because I've tried it once and it left all of my apps useless, I couldn't open them, they wouldn't work.

I would much rather save them to my desktop via SSH but I don't know how to do that either.

Do you know how to use SSH?
Navigate through, I think it is in like var/stash something.
    Lemme check.
You do a back up through iTunes, and all your apps are there anyways once you sync.

    Edit:
    /private/var/mobile/Applications
That is the liocation to your applications, that aren't from cydia.
    Your Cydia applications:
    /private/var/stash/Applications.XXXXXX

So if I copy the applications files to my desktop and then transfer them to my Ipod after restoring it they will appear on my desktop and be fully functional or what?

you need to chmod the folder/application so it has 755/777 permissions.

Already done, so if I wanted to remove them then just place them back in later would they work?
