I bought two iPod touches (2g) for my two daughters, who each have their own computer. I tried to make the second touch (on second computer) use the same account for the app store, but it won't sync on the second touch because it says I'm on the wrong computer. How do I fix this? Do I have to restore and set up a second account from scratch? I'd prefer to have both kids using the same account using my same credit card.

You need to authorize the second computer. Open up iTunes and click on Store > Authorize Computer.

    Worked like a charm

Again, thanks for the help. It worked perfectly, and it also appears that I don't have to pay for the same app twice even though I have two iPod Touches. Appreciate the assistance.

Yes, you can use the apps for up to 5 ipod touches all on the same account I think.

i have multiple computers also, so what i do is authorize both before you buy or sync anything, and then in iTunes go to tools > authorize computer , log in.

    then you set.

btw: you can sync up to 5 iPods on a single computer.
