two ipod touches one computer

    is it possible to sync two itouches to one computer if they have different firmware? and one is the 1g and one is the 2g

    It should work, i ran once a 1G version 1.1.5 and a 2G version 2.2 and synced them at the same time, worked perfectly.

    Yes. You can sync as many devices as you like.

    Ok thank you. will both of the ipods have all of the same apps also?

    You can control that, either all apps or selected apps.

    why would apple make it not work? then, if a family has only one comp, they can only have one touch.

    If you want them both to have identical content, then yeah you can just sync them.
    But if you want each one to have different music, for example, then you can create two music playlists: "iPod 1" and "iPod 2". Add music to the playlists appropriately, then configure iPod 1 to only sync with the "iPod 1" playlist, and then do the same for iPod 2.
