These are great games to play on a touch or iPhone offline (i.e. not remotely over wi-fi). Any idea if there are any sites that have announced working on either of these?

There's already iBlackJack which is pretty cool. Would love to see Poker and Chess make it to these devices as well.

i saw a thread further back about creating any website a little self contained bookmarklet that can be run offline, i heard it worked with games like tetris, and such

There are already games that run by themselves on the iPhone and touch after being installed via installer.app. i wonder if we'll see either of those built though.

If only they released that as a native app that doesn't require having wifi on to play...

no, tried that. doesn't work. all that app site does is create an icon on your device that links you to the website, like a bookmark.

hey tell me this - let's say i've downloaded all the HTML, PNG, and JavaScript files needed to run the game and put them in their requisite subfolders (based on where the HTML pages are looking for them), such that I can play it just fine on my computer.

How do I now compile or organize this to create a functional native application for the touch/iPhone?

I can put it all in a Gamename.app folder on the touch and I have an icon so it shows up, but it still doesn't work - it bounces it quickly back to the main screen after clicking on the icon.

I think it's something with the info.plist or whatever that file's called.

How do I tell it to call/load a local webpage that's in that Gamename.app folder?
