oh and in regards to a n64emu pretty much impossible since they will some how have to fit all the buttons on the screen the a b dpad joystick c buttons l and r and z, a bit complicated and the button combinations will be hard like hold z whilst pressing left c whilst walking forward lol

It's perfectly capable. It just won't be able to break out of single-digit frame rates. :)

It'll be nice to see the 16-bitters make an appearance, but there are a few I'd personally like to see. Atari systems, mainly. (I never got into the next-gen consoles in the mid-80s; I'd already discovered and was programming computers by then. ;))

Oh, and a Sinclair Spectrum emulator. I have a soft spot for that little thing.

anything or emulator that is possible on the iPod Touch, will be on the iPod Touch, in due time.

just be patient you cant rush these programmers unless you want crappy performance. in the next several months you're going to see people test and exhaust the limits of the iTouch's capability with so many games, tools, and emulators.

I think instead of having a bunch of different apps for the emus, they should combine them all into one app and have the main screen there be a list of all the advailable emus that are on your itouch. That would save a bunch of space on your summer/springboard and allow you to put all of them onto your dock w/o taking up the whole dock :)

Who else thinks this is a good idea?

In the way emulators go other then controls(there always going to be a problem with any emu), would the iPod touch be able to handle the same or close to the PSP.

Not PSP again... The touch can handle PS1/X, if the GP2X can get resonable speeds with no 3D support and half the CPU, we can do good. Im downloading the toolchain right now(dial up :( ), and hopefully Ill be able to start working on a Genesis(+SNES=BEST EVER) emulator before I get a touch
