    This seems like a very stupid decision indeed. Still, it's better than having a port straight from another OS (iOS) that isn't even close to fitting in with the UI and UX principles of the OS it was ported to, like we do on Android. Then they decide that all the other really amazing twitter apps shouldn't be allowed to use the Twitter API. That point also holds true for iOS of course.

    I feel your pain. :( Thanks for the article though. I just warned a friend not to update.
