There are so many twitter clients for the iPod touch and iPhone nowadays, it is awfully hard to find the right one for you. this is how I felt, until I found Tweetie, this is the fully-functional mobile twitter client that I have been looking for! with its timelines and trends of past tweets, easy of use and polished user interface it is no wonder why it one the, "2009 Apple Design Award"!

    How this stands out

I have tested many other twitter clients, and this one has definitely been impressive even for me. I really want to first talk about speed. When you first launch the app, new tweets load in seconds, not like the previously tested Twitterrific Premium that I was using before. It also comes in handy when you have multiple twitter accounts, Tweetie can handle that as well. You can manage your favorite tweets, browse your friends and followers and follow and un-follow others. It also has absolutely no lag, and amazing scrolling speeds to scroll through unwanted tweets. this app also has instapaper integration and an optional landscape feature.

    Key features
    -Direct Messaging
    -Navigate reply chains
-Post links with auto link shrinking (Great +)
    -Update pictures to TwitPic
    -Use secure Connections (https)
    -Nearby searching
    -Links to StockTwits
    -Themable

What others have said about Tweetie

"Seriously fantastic. Tweetie is going to replace the three other twiiter apps I use daily".
    -Alex Payne, Twitter API Leader

"The Supreme Champion Among the iPhone Twitter clients".
    -Smoking Apples

"...currently my favorite iPhone Twitter client so far".
    -John Gruber, Daring Fireball

    "The Fastest Twitter App Yet".
    ~Yours Truly

Soon To come in future updates
    -Push Notification

    Final Thoughts

Why would you use those ugly, slow and confusing twitter clients when this is the easiest way to tweet mobile wise? I'm always updating my account and there is no way I'll ever use another client, atleast not for a good while.

    Ratings

    : 5/5 - On wifi, I don't know about 3G/Edge
: 5/5 - Breeze to browse and update
: 3/5 - Very nice layout, but some images take long/don't appear
to leading clients: 5/5 - really never seen/used a better client!

You may ask why 4/5 over all rating? With the OS 3.0 out push is a must have for this app. I couldn't give it a 5/5 until the next update I'm afraid. But 4/5 is solid, trust me I don't give many of those out

Nice review but could do with more written detail. Also I would avoid centering all the text and just center certain parts. Finally you don't want to include other people's reviews of the app in your review - your review is your thoughts and score of the app and should not be influenced by others.

    Keep up the great work!

The reason push isn't integrated yet is because Twitter's backend hasn't implemented it. The clients that support it right now have cheap workarounds to achieve push through their servers, and onto their apps. Until Twitter makes a real solution, don't expect push in Tweetie.

Hm. I think I'll do a review on one of it's competitors.
