It may seem like a stupid question, but since the cpu of the touch was underclocked from 620 MHz to 412 MHz, would it be possible to make make the speed faster, to say, like 450 or 500 MHz? would this make the emulators (psx primarily and gba) run faster?

Shouldnt the question be why they put the speed down?
I think its due to safety reason, or your iPod will get hot?
    im not sure

Emulators for the iPod Touch was the dumbest idea ever conceived.

Dont you like your battery? Well, I guess 1/2 battery life is fine, its not like it was built to do anything other than play psx roms....

Sure its possible, but its extremely pointless. I could see underclocking it, to save battery life, but overclocking would pretty much serve no purpose other than kill battery life. I'm sure theres instructions somewhere if you still want to experiment.... Check google.

so the reason why they've put it down is to have longer battery life yea?

underclocking also makes the device safer-more system stability
