Hey guys, I finally got my $15 TV out cable to work by replacing the iapd file on my device. it works great, can watch youtube, iPlayer and all the streaming sites on my 19" LCD and the image quality is surprisingly ok. the only problem im having is that when video is playing and the device automatically goes to sleep, the video stops playing. is there anyway I can stop the screen from going to sleep when playing videos??

Well done!! Does anyone know (or do you have) and online tutorial as to how to do this? I have a non-apple TV out cable and would love to be able to use this for more than just audio?

you need the second one as far as i know, i wouldn't risk buying the first cable because the only place to plug it in would be the audio in on the itouch and unless there's some secret i dont know about i don't think an audio in would produce a tv out

Just read again and realized you had first cables, give it a try and let me know cause i have plenty of those cables but i really dont think it'll work
