i had to restore because limera1n messed up my iphone 4

but instead of clicked restore on itunes .

    i clicked Shift+Check For Update

and it let me search for the ipsw

    i found the 4.1 ipsw

i thought it would do a full restore

but it restored (took of the jailbreak)

but kept my apps photos etc

    .

    Cool Huh

Another piece onto the tutorial from me!

1.Sync your device until it backs it up and then you can cancel if you wish
2.Shift+Restore and select your ipsw because it is more clean than shift+update
3.After its done press your backup and select restore from backup.
    4.press done and wait!
5.if you have not pirated it should work perfectly!

Yeah, you're right, my version is safer and removes all jailbreak data cleanly.

but iBricked would your way work if this was to happen

    1. Backup made with 4.1 jailbroke
    2. Restored to future 4.2 ios
    3. Restore from backup

Mine would. Id did from 3.1.3 to 4.0 and 4.0 to 4.1 definetly, 4.1 to 4.2 will have no transition problems.
