I found a way to do it YEAHHH!!!!!

    Do this:

Use WinSCP and open file : /private/var/lib/dpkg/status

Search for the update that is bugging you in Cydia and you want it to stop notifying you to update it...for example gpSPhone.
You'll see below it says (mine says) Version: 6.1.0
Change that to the latest version that Cydia says exists for update : Version: 6.2.5

Then save and go to Cydia...you'll see it wont be there in the updates list.

Do the same for the rest of the updates and you are all set.

It would be smarter, and easier to just upgrade...

Except if you've got an older, free version of gpSPhone and Cydia's constantly bugging you to update to the paid version.

Or if you are still running 2.2.1 cause 3.0 is CRAP, and mobile substrate message and ericca tools keeps popping up

Good to resort to primitive "trickery", lest we think of supporting hardworking developers by making a small donation!!

I don't really see how it's trickery. They're not going to update, anyway.

Axi you are missing the point.

The update list in Cydia is forcing you to update everything it puts there.

If you are running a 2.2.1 version and not 3.0 Erica tools beta14 is the best for you and not beta15 (for 3.0) which is added to the update list.

Unless you do this trick you are stuck, not been able to update anything else that comes with the updates.

gpSphone was just an example...only because it was the first thing on my list.
Maybe i dont want to update to 6.2.5 why should i be forced to ?

Know what i mean ? Dont hang from a thread.
