So enlarging this can be done using the liquifying tool. it works the best on rounded object so as an example i chose this:

Guess what round object we will enlarge today!

    So here we go.

Get into photoshop and go to filter>liquify (or crt+shift+x for windows users)

Next choose the 5th tool in the left toolbar. with those arrows to the outside

an important thing is to always begin with the smaller objects that are further away! here im talking about "the left side" but in this case first enlarge the linux penguin a bit because ele it would be flat after the "surgery"

so you first enlarged the linux penguin a bit. MAKE SURE U USE A BRUSHSIZE NOT TOO SMALL OR TOO BIG. Here i used 50 but that can be changed to any value you wish.

Next start with the "left side" and use a brush size of 70. make sure the "left-side" stays rounded and fill it up until the size is OK to you.

Next do the "right-side" the same way but use a 110 brush size.

Looks good doesn't it!!!! you may need to retry it a couple of times to make it work but its pretty easy right?
you can adjust everthing a bit using the others tools in the left side bar and be carefull not blowing up the left (or right) arm!

for the result i got in 5 min scroll down:

    not yet
