I have decided to make a tutorial for people who keep asking "how do I change the slide to unlock text" etc... manually as Customize hasnt been ported for 2.0 Yet

So do you want Your iPod to look like from this

    to this?

    or even from this

to this because you have modded your mobilemusicplayer.app to become just iPod, and u hate a music shortcut

Well. this what you must do.

1: SSH into your iPod and find the directory.
    /System/Library/CoreServices/Springboard.app/English.iproj/springboard.strings.
2: back up this file first, and make a copy of it onto ur desktop for easy finding.
3: Change the file extension to .txt.
if u are a mac user, use Text Wrangler, as textedit wont do.
4)If u want to change the slide to unlock text. find this bit in the text.
    Code:
    <key>AWAY_LOCK_LABEL</key>
    	<string>slide to unlock</string>
    change that to
    Code:
    <key>AWAY_LOCK_LABEL</key>
    	<string> </string>
a space in the middle of <string>/ </string>

5)If u want to change the string of the music shortcut find the text:
    Code:
    <key>MUSIC</key>
    	<string>Music</string>
and change the "Music" bit to whatever you want.

for a bit of humour you could change it to Wmp.

After You have done this. put the file into the same place. delete the original, then while in SSH, change the file extension to .strings. and respring. you will not need to set permissions

And have a look around what you could change. for example. slide to power off, low battery warnings. the list is endless. as i have mentioned, this guide is for people who didnt know how to do this at first.
