[Tutorial] Make Custom Boot Logos

I found the easies way to do this is create your image in Photoshop (or Gimp which is free) save it as png (NOT INTERLACED). Dont' forget to use the Save for Web & Devices option to set it as png24.

Then using infranview (which is free!!) you can save as to a png again (using a diff name) and during the save it will ask you to select the transparent color, click on the color you want to be transparent and it will save it to correct png for use as a boot image in QF.

As friedmann said: You could do 1 px this way, such as color it Magenta (normal color for transparecy anyway) and when you save select that 1 px as the transparent.

I tried this with a full image as well, and it worked 100% no prob.

i want to use the picture attached as my boot logo, but it is too big at 246kb. is there any way to reduce it to the required size? if you can, please do so and post it back here for me. the guy in this thread (http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=157612) said he got it to work on his 2g so it must be possible. if not, thanks anyways.
