If there's any mods around can you change the title topic to make the AppStore think your on a different firmware, thx This is a tutorial on how to trick the AppStore into thinking your on 4.0. Warning: I'm not responsible for any harm done to your iDevice. Tutorial First you'll need iFile installed. Next, go on google and find out the number of the firmware version ( the set of numbers in quotes next to the firmware version in About). I will have most of them below: 3.1.2 (7D11) 3.1.3 (7E18) 4.0 (8A293) 4.0.2 (8A400) Next, go in iFile and goto System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist and edit that. Find the line: key>ProductBuildVersion</key> And edit the string to look like the number for the firmware: <string>8A293</string> Now find this line and edit it's string to have the firmware version: <key>ProductVersion</key> <string>4.0</string> Now press done and save (or save and done, which ever way it is). Now respring and you should be able to get iOS4 apps! Please give me updates on how it worked for you.
