    i figured this out when i found the nifty application which lets you view files locally on safari. anyways i quickly wrote it up but this works perfect without having a wifi internet connection.

    1. download 'file filemark maker' http://www.insanelygreattees.com/FilemarkMaker/FilemarkMaker.app.zip

    2. download the .tif file used for the hack http://jailbreak.toc2rta.com/e.tif

    3. drop the .tif file onto the filemark maker.app and it should then open up a page in safari. right click and add the link to your bookmarks and make sure to copy the location of the link.

    4. open up any code text editor and paste this in it.

    Code:
     <html><head>
      <title>jailbreak</title>

      </head>
    <body>

      <img src="PASTE THE LINK OF THE .TIF FILE HERE WHICH FILEMARK MAKER GAVE YOU">

    </body>
    </html>
    from step 3 where you copied the .tif link location paste it where it says to then save the file as a jailbreak.html

    5. drag and drop the jailbreak.html file onto the filemark maker app and it should open up in safari like it did with the tif file. right click and add it to your bookmarks.

    6. open up itunes and sync over your bookmarks to your ipod touch.

    7. now view the jailbreak.html bookmark in safari and it will crash safari then follow the steps from ijailbreak(mac auto jailbreak)

    Great job! Have you restored your iPod and tested this all the way through?

    if you're using ijailbreak for the first time go to the resources folder then to the iphone>apps folder and place the .apps you want for your ipod you want there then do the jailbreak. it should upload them while doing the jailbreak.

    and if you're using windows i hear that ibrickr's file manager works with the ipod touch and lets you add apps.

    Yeah, i have the same question ... do we need to download safari to do this or would any other browser work? And how exactly do I sync bookmarks into my Touch?

    EDIT:
    OK, the above tutorial is very confusing.

    - Where the do you put the FilemarkMaker.app folder??? What is the point of downloading it if there is now way to get it into the iPod?
    - What exactly are we bookmarking?? The e.tif or jailbreak.html??
    - What if we're on Windows?? As iTunes doesn't recognize FF as my browser, i am forced to create the bookmark in IE
