    In this tutorial, I will show you how to hide application WITHTOUT any other applications such as Customize/Poof/etc.

    Lets begin!

    What you need

    • A Jailbroken iPod Touch/ iPhone
    • Open SSH
    • An SSH client (I use WinSCP)
    Instructions:

    1) Add any applications you want to your iPoT/iPhone

    2) SSH into your /Applications folder on your device

    3) Choose an app that you want to hide.

    4) Open that application's folder and open the "Info.plist" in an application such as Notepad.

    5) The app that I chose is "Shake"

    D). The Info.plist looks like this:
    Code:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
    <plist version="1.0">
    <dict>
        <key>CFBundleDevelopmentRegion</key>
        <string>English</string>
        <key>CFBundleExecutable</key>
        <string>Shake</string>
        <key>CFBundleIdentifier</key>
        <string>com.artefactoEstudio.Shake</string>
        <key>CFBundleInfoDictionaryVersion</key>
        <string>6.0</string>
        <key>CFBundlePackageType</key>
        <string>APPL</string>
        <key>CFBundleSignature</key>
        <string>????</string>
        <key>CFBundleVersion</key>
        <string>1.0</string>

    </dict>
    </plist>
    6) This app is visible on my Springboard. To make this application "hidden" I have to add this into the Info.plist
    Code:
    <key>SBAppTags</key>
        <array>
            <string>hidden</string>
        </array>
    7) I put it between
    Code:
    <string>1.0</string>
    and
    Code:
    </dict>
    8) It should now look like this.
    Code:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
    <plist version="1.0">
    <dict>
        <key>CFBundleDevelopmentRegion</key>
        <string>English</string>
        <key>CFBundleExecutable</key>
        <string>Shake</string>
        <key>CFBundleIdentifier</key>
        <string>com.artefactoEstudio.Shake</string>
        <key>CFBundleInfoDictionaryVersion</key>
        <string>6.0</string>
        <key>CFBundlePackageType</key>
        <string>APPL</string>
        <key>CFBundleSignature</key>
        <string>????</string>
        <key>CFBundleVersion</key>
        <string>1.0</string>
        <key>SBAppTags</key>
        <array>
            <string>hidden</string>
        </array>

    </dict>
    </plist>
    9) Save this edited file as "Info.plist" and replace the old one in the app's folder.

    10) Reboot your iPod/iPhone and the app should now be not visible on your Springboard....if you did it right.

    Good luck! And if you need any help, just post here and I'll see what I can do.

    AWESOME!!!
    Thanks alot for this, it was on my list of things I wanted to know and you just saved me alot of hassle.
    Now I can write myself a simple app locker with jiggy thanx to this, just tried it and the hidden app still launched so thats good enough for me.
    Thanks again.
