This tutorial will show you how to edit and change your default skin in Minecraft: PE, to something to your liking. This method is not "official," but it proves to work until a official update gets released.

JailbreakHelp has posted this tutorial first and has another method that does the same thing. It is found on the bottom.
    • Step 1 - Have iFile installed from Cydia (the "trial" version should work).

    • Step 3 - Find the one you like and click "Download."

    • Step 4 - It will take you to a blank page with your skin on it. Hold the image until you get an option to "Save Image."

    • Step 5 - Close Safari and navigate to iFile and locate your picture. To do this, go to "Home" (the house icon) > Media > DCIM > 100APPLE > [the image should be the last one].

    • Step 6 - Rename the file to "char.png" (without quotations).

    • Step 7 - Click the file and copy/cut it.
    • Step 8 - Click "Home" > Applications > Minecraft PE (If this part shows random letters and numbers, go iFile settings and change it or otherwise, you have to find it) > minecraftpe.app > [Paste the file you downloaded here].

    • Step 9 - Quit Minecraft: PE on your multitasking bar and run it again.

    • Step 10 - Enjoy your skin.

Note: I used a different skin before this tutorial.

Update: After searching the forums, I have found a post by JailbreakHelp with the similar subject. Here is his post for reference: http://www.ifans.com/forums/threads/how-to-change-minecraft-pe-skin.363922/. Credit goes to him for writing a tutorial first :).

Which application? Are you trying to find "iFile?" You will need to jailbreak your iPod/iPhone/iPad to gain access in modding these files. You can try to follow this guide to jailbreak: Jailbreak Wizard by Tkf1.

If you want to know what is jailbreaking, check this post by Tkf1: Click here.

To make it easier, what device and firmware (version) do you have?

Okay, you have to follow this guide: Click here. It provides all the information you need to jailbreak your iPod Touch and find iFile.

Once you've successfully done the jailbreak, search for "iFile" on "Cydia."

Note: Without jailbreaking, you can't follow this guide, sorry :(.
