Hello iv noticed all around the fourm ever since the release of Firmware 2.0 on how to downgrade from 2.0 to 1.x or 3.0 to 2.x.x that everyone is releasing tutorials on how to downgrade they all include spending alot of time and alot of effort, here's an easy way to downgrade from any firmware to any firmware no matter what operating system ur using:

1 - Open cydia and install fwchanger.
2 - Open Firmwarechanger and select any firmware below the one you want ( ex: u have 3.0 and want 2.2.1, select 2.0 ) .
Firmware changer have several previous firmwares installed but u can also enter another previous firmwares, here's the full list:

    1.1 (3A101a)
    1.1.1 (3A110a)
    1.1.2 (3B48b)
    1.1.3 (4A93)
    1.1.4 (4A102)
    1.1.5 (4B1)

    2.0 (5A347)
    2.0.1 (5B108)
    2.0.2 (5C1)
    2.1 (5F137)
    2.2 (5G77a)
    2.2.1 (5H11)

    3.0 (7A341)

3 - Select the one u want and enter them in their fields ( ID is case sensitive ) and click set firmware.
    4 - Respring/ Reboot.
5 - Plug in ur device and open itunes and it should view the firmware that u changed .
6 - Now its simple put ur device into restore mode and restore it to the firmware you desire.

Hope I've Helped In Any Way.

Or you can just put your iPod Touch/iPhone into iTunes, shift+click and select previous firmware. Will then tell you it will have failed, put in DFU mode, shift+click again, and it will restore to that firmware.
