You know, a lot of people with normal iPods tend to turn them off frequently when going to bed or something. But I just never seem to turn mine off unless I'm not going to be using it for a week or something. Maybe this is just due to the fact that it takes like about 3 minutes to boot... but I don't know, I just plug it in when I go to sleep. So my question for you guys is: How often do you turn off your iPod Touch? Do you ever?

I almost never ever turn mine off, I hear starting it up wastes more battery than keeping in on and locked.

Also it cant charge when off

If you are playing music and press the sleep button, this is not considered putting it to sleep right? It's just turning off the screen and locking it? Is there a way to turn off the screen but not lock it?

no. there is not that i know off. it will automatically go black but then u have to slide to unlock.

if u just want to skip track, u can hit the home button 2 times (When locked) and it will display a play, forward, reverse, volume.

I never shut my touch off, it always goes to sleep. Unless I wont be using it for a while, which is extremely rare.

Put it into standby during the day, shut it off at night.
