Is there anyway to completely shut these 3 apps to save on some RAM? the only apps I have an idea of are safari and music.

iPod- Scroll all the way to the last song, play it, then touch the "next song" button. this removes the "now playing" in the app, and when you double tap for the music player, instead it should take you home.

Safari- Close all pages you have open. Even when you have 1 page left you should be able to close it by pressing the tab icon. There should only be 1 untitled page that you can leave open. when safari is opened again, the bookmarks should pop up.

I have no idea on mail, or even if I got the correct way to turn off music or safari, so if anyone knows please let me know!

If you're jailbroken, get SBSettings and use the processes tab to end unnecessary apps.

I don't plan on jailbreaking anytime soon though...

Get memory sweep lite. It's on the app store. It'll free up some memory.
