Hey guys I have one simple question and sorry if this was asked before but I don't really have time now to look.the question is is it good if I turn off the device after I'm done using it and then turning it back after around 3 hrs because that's how long my soccer practice is, or should I just put it to sleep. Also this goes for the same thing but just at night. I go to bed at around 11 pm and I get up at 6:30am for school. So my question is, is it better to turn off the device or just put it to sleep.

You don't waste any battery by sleeping it, but you do by turning it on and off. Just put it to sleep when you're not using it.

Battery is still spent while it's asleep...

But I think it uses more to turn off / on than in sleep mode.

It takes up nearly no battery in sleep mode, but takes A LOT to turn On/Off.

it uses basically none in sleep. maybe itll drain a full battery in like a month. or more...i could never have the patience to test it.... turning it off just wastes your time. my 1g takes as long to start up as a computer.

Avoid all costs to turn it off, just keep it in sleep mode all the time.
    Thats what its made for.

I keep mine on sleep all night, whenever im not using it (sometimes for more than 10 hours). What it does is that when its in sleep, it disables anything that it uses (e.x Wi-Fi. You might notice it reconnects everytime you wake it up)
