    Hi;

    In Control Panel at System/Hardware/device manager/universal serial bus controllers your ipod touch is connected using the apple mobile device USB driver.
    Turning off AppleMobileDeviceService.exe in the task manager will still allow this service to operate when connecting the touch to the computer. I gather that this is what keeps the touch from being recognized as a disk drive to allow file management. Anybody know of a way to turn off the apple mobile device USB driver so that the touch can be recognized as a usb disk drive like the conventional ipods? I'm trying to find a workaround to the sftp/ws_ftp problems I and countless other noobs seem to have here/.

    TIA,
    jim
