Hey guys Im new to the forums but Im hoping you can help me out. Ive currently been attempting to jailbreak my ipod however Ive been having problems with both Blackra1n and Redsn0w.

Blackra1n gets to the part where it says "waiting to reboot" and the screen goes into a lit blank screen and when the ipod finally does reboot the ipod doesnt have the app.

When I use redsn0w I get through it fairly easy but I get to the part where it says "uploading exploit" and it stays at that part for what seems like forever. At one point I had it stuck at that part for over an hour.

Am I doing something wrong? Im starting to get frustrated with this whole thing but I hope you can help me. Please let me know what I can do.

    Much thanks guys

Are you on 3.1.2 or 3.1.3 firmware?

Make sure you have USB 2.0. The first time I tried with mine I was on my older Dell and it wouldn't work. Moved over to my new one with 2.0 and it worked fine.

Make sure you are in Recovery Mode but not in DFU Mode... you saw a blank screen either you enter the wrong mode or timing to release the power and home buttons was wrong.
