go to the installer.app and if you have lots of sources you may see a folder that says 1.1.4 iphone apps
if you don't go o sources tap edit, then tap add and type ride4.org/shai.xml after it refreshes go to sources folder in catagories and add all sources.... installl every thing thats in the folder... then just install iphone aplications 1.1.4 and your good to go

Before I answer your question, I would like to point out three things.

    (1) For the sake of receiving a more detailed, quicker response please post a more appropriate title.
    (2) Please, use proper english!
    (3) The iPod touch's home screen is called SpringBoard, not the desktop.

Now, to manually reorder icons through Firmware 1.1.4, download the January App Pack through Installer, which will enable wiggly icons! Here's a source: http://www.spaziocellulare.com/ispazio.xml

Go to Installer > Install > iSpazio Apps > 1.1.3/4 iPod Full Features
Install the 1.1.3/4 iPod Full Features application, which includes the five January App Pack applications and the wiggly icons feature.

Apps that you install will automatically go to the first open sapce, if that's what you mean. There is no way to change that as far as I know.
Use wiggle to move the apps, or the older (not beta) version of customize.
