set it as a static IP address on the wifi settings, wait 10 minutes, restart both the touch and itunes and it should work

Hey this question was asked a lot on my site and i stumbled upon your frustration with it.

    here's what to check:

-- wireless connection (open safari make sure u have internet)
-- firewall, ensure the iTunes is allowed (double, triple check..)
-- update iTunes to iTunes 8.0 if you haven't already.
-- Make sure iTunes remote is enabled in the preferences

Here is my step-by-step instructions on how to configure it

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Cheers,
    Mike
