I just updated my iTunes, and haven't restarted. I downloaded 2.0 and held Shift while clicking Update, and selected the 2.0 file. My iTunes now says "Preparing iPod for Software Update..." and has said it for like 5 minutes. The iPod itself is showing the small Apple logo with the circular loading symbol in the bottom spinning.

Do I wait it out, or can I cancel it without messing my iPod up? I am currently jailbroken 1.1.4

you are supposed to hit shift + restore.

Would have been easier if you just paid for it

Upgrading the firmwares do kinda take long for some reason. Expect that when upgrading to 2.1.

It didn't have to prepare very long for 2.0 to 2.1, it's already in the update process. I'm really looking forward to the AppStore (free apps only for now)
