Okay so i dont see how its possible to enter dfu mode if your ipod cant boot pass the apple logo. All the instructions that i have read says you need be able to recognize it in itunes but my ipod cant do that. So is there other ways to enter dfu mode if your ipod can load pass the apple screen.

if its a black screen, and it stays like that, and itunes recognizes it in recovery mode, then its good.

Search for a guide to DFU... It's connect to USB, hold both for count of 10 then let go of power for count of 10 while holding home. Should be recognised in 'restore mode' but a black screen signifies DFU.
