I put it into recovery mode. Can an installed openiboot be on there when you do this?

And plus if it was in DFU mode it wouldn't let me do the commands anyways.
This is on my iPod Touch BTW.

You can install this over an existing openiboot install I have done that multiple times. If you have bootlace installed on your ipod please disable it as it will mess somethings up when trying to install this. Actually I am about to make a video of me installing this on my ipod so everyone can see what I do and try to mimic me.

cooldued59, and anyone else having a problem doing this, please type ls in terminal when cd'd into the folder that has your openiboot.img3 along with loadibec and oibc. all three files should be written in green text, if openiboot.img3 is not then it is not executable and you need to make it that way. you can do that by typing
    Code:
    sudo chmod +x openiboot.img3
(if the file extension you have IS NOT img3 then you have the incorrect openiboot file)

    EDIT:
    still doesnt work for me...

I am getting a black screen as well after executing the command to load openiboot.img3

Any fix? I am on iPod Touch and yes, I downloaded ipod version of openiboot, I am afraid I think it is corrupt.... I also tried sudo chmod +x openiboot.img3 then loaded it but still corrupt.
