Tried to update to 2.1 from 2.0.. iTunes error...

    Not sure what it said.. I just clicked okay... and now my ipod is stuck on the connect to itunes screen..

    iTunes wont recognize it and i have tried putting it into the different modes etc.. and nothing works..

    What can i do to fix it?

    Try restarting your computer.

    Oh... Im sorry i never THOUGHT! of doing the most BASIC thing EVER!

    Sorry... but I'm not in the mood to have a 500 dollar paper weight right now.

    Any USEFUL suggestions? I have tried doing some jailbreaking thinking that may resolve the issue.. but they don't see the iPod either...

    Im in a corner.. HELP ME PLEASE!!!

    put your ipod in DFU mode..if you dont know how, search for it

    I tried a few times and it wouldnt enter DFU mode... Then when I got it into DFU mode nothing recognized it still..

    I had the same problem, I tried in every computer I had in my house (2 XP and 1 Vista) and in everyone didn't work, always an error 6. After that, I decided to go to an Apple Store for help; the guys there connected it to a mac and they did the same things I did, and it worked for them

    Argh!! I dont have an apple store anywhere near me.. nor do I have a mac.... I don't like how this is looking... I guess I'll have to hunt down my friend who has a mac..
