Hi, I will be traveling soon with my touch (of course) and will have 3 flights for a total of 22 hours door to door. I'd like to watch some films. I'd need to have a way to charge my touch without plugging into a wall socket or a PC.

If it better to get a charger that recharges with batteries ie AA, AAA or 9volt ?
Or should I find something that charges on a wall socket, then will charge my touch ?

    Thanks for any help

    Pat

How much time do you have in between flights? If the layovers are moderately lengthy, then you should have time to either plug the ipod directly into a wall socket via a travel charger or bust out a laptop, plug that into the wall socket, and just charge the iPod for awhile using the USB cable.

There are many chargers and battery solutions out there...just Google iPod Touch chargers and you will find plenty.

no, my layovers aren't that long, plus a lot on airports outside the US don't have any place to plug things into. ex: Roissy at paris. I only know of 2 places, so you can imagiine that they are often being used, once I saw 3 poeple using the one socket, someone had thought to bring a mutli-plug thingee LOL

    Thanks

There are guides to making your own charger for a mere 10 bucks for all the materials, one of which involves an altoids can where you make the altoids can capable of you putting a battery into it to allow any USB device connected to the can to be able to charge. That way, you just need to bring extra AA batteries instead of wall charger.

thanks, but I don't feel comfortable doing that. I'm not the technical.

I have seen Griffin TuneJuice 2 Battery Backup for iPod, that uses 4 AAA batteries, do you have any feedback on this ?
